They  are  in  real  bad  shape.  I  don't  think  they  will  touch  any  frozen  stuff.  I  failed  keeping  them  with  any  dried  or  frozen  food.  Try  to  give  them  Micro  Worms/  BBS.

Unless  that  is  a  very  emanciated  male,  I  will  stick  to  calling  the  'whiter'  one,  female.  Great  pictures.

 Hi,

The  male  Dario  is  the  one  with  all  the  brilliance  in  colours  and  the  oher  not  so  spectacular  fish  are  the  females.  They  are  actually  pretty  drab  looking  one  of  the  many  reasons  for  not  getting  into  shops  as  most  people  love  the  colour  colour  fish.  Try  and  get  hold  of  a  grindal  worm  culture  and  rear  the  worms  in  compost.  If  you  need  help  with  the  grindal  worm  cultivation  let  me  know.  These  will  mostly  be  on  live  food  so  try  that  only,  very  difficult  to  get  them  to  eat  flakes  or  even  frozen  food  at  times.

 Regards

I  have  roughly  a  doz....and  have  now  started  to  accept  both  frozen  and  dry  blood  worms,,,,it  takes  some  effort  though...

The  method  I  follow  is  ...Feed  them  only  once  a  day...Alternate  between  live  and  frozen  with  a  day  of  starving  in  between..Now  inbetween  frozen  and  starving  I  give  them  dried  blood  worms...They  accept  and  eat...But  with  a  frown  on  their  face  :)

Alternatively  you  can  keep  shrimps  in  the  tank  and  the  Dario's  will  happily  munch  on  the  shrimplets  :)

 Nikhil,

Would  be  great  if  you  could  share  the  grindal  worm  culture  if  you  are  in  India  currently!

 Hi  Vyas,

I  will  try  and  get  one  of  my  cultures.  Will  be  in  Bangalore  on  the  18th  of  this  month  so  if  i  do  manage  to  get  all  my  50  odd  fish  through  customs  i  think  you  can  take  a  culture  no  problems  at  all.

 Regards

 Nikhil
