Not  a  very  happy  update   Sad  .  Tried  ti  fight  algae  by  72  hours  of  light  out  (and  mild  dosage  of  Algen  Killer-T).  Along  with  most  of  my  algae,  the  HC  carpet  got  totally  melted  Sad  .  However,  the  Mosses  have  survived  and  so  seems  the  HM.

I  had  removed  most  of  my  RCS  and  Neons  during  medication  and  they  (most  of  them)  are  doing  fine.

Here  is  how  it  looks  now:

 BAppa[img][/img]

The  other  planted  tank  (3.5X1.5X1)  has  mostly  Moss,  Windelov  Fern.  Anubias  -Nana  and  BArteri  and  assorted  Cryptocoryenes.  Posting  two  pics:

 Send  me  your  comments.

 ,

The  tanks  look  very  nice.  I  love  the  first  one,  it  has  a  nice  dark  feel  to  it.  Go  for  the  HC  carpet  again,  it  will  stunning  for  sure  once  complete.

Thanks  Prem  and  Sachin.  I  had  got  the  HC  carpet  from  Singapore,  don't  know  whether  I  can  get  it  again.  Instead  might  settle  for  a  moss  carpet  at  the  front.  I  have  some  java  moss,  will  try  and  put  them  is  fine  wire  mesh.

 Hi  all,
Will  be  travelling  for  2  months  early  next  week.  So  although  there  is  a  standing  instruction  for  20%  water  change  every  week  and  dosage  of  Florena,  I  have  no  idea  how  the  tanks  will  be  after  i  come  back  Sad  .  So  here  is  the  latest  picture  update.  i  have  removed  the  driftwoods  covered  with  moss  in  another  tank  (to  avoid  outbreak  of  algae  in  this  tank).  The  tank   is  now  4  months  old.  The  new  changes  made  are:  No  pressurized  CO2  now  (have  put  an  electronic  CO2  generator  Nisso),  chiller  to  keep  temperature  down  to  26-27  degrees.  Lights  around  100  watts.  Light  period  6-7  hours  a  day.  Some  pics  below:

The  other  tank  (40  gallons)  currently  has  no  CO2,  fans  to  keep  water  temperature  down  and  ferns,  anubias  crypts  and  some  fishes:

Hope  to  see  them  well  when  I  am  back.

Is  there  something  I  need  to  do  so  that  the  tanks  do  well  even  when  I  am  not  there?
 Bappa
