Hi  Madan,

did  you  guys  managed  to  get  some  fish  home?  do  you  have  any  snaps  of  teh  catch  ?

 regards,

 Clive  Dias

Hey  Clive,  we  could  not  catch  any  thing   Innocent
Just  kidding  man!  This  has  been  the  mother  of  all  collection  trips  on  IAH.  Most  probably,  no  one  has  done  any  collection  trip  of  this  magnitude,  in  India.
For  me,  it  was  a  hard  core  learning  experience.  For  the  fishes,  it  was  the  day  they  were  caught.  Many  many  fishes  had  been  caught,  many  have  been  released  back  to  water  and  many  have  been  brought  back  safely  and  is  playing  around  in  our  tanks.

I  salute  the  passion  of  people  who  have  taken  the  pain  to  organise  this  trip.  It  was  very  very  smooth  from  the  beginning  to  the  very  end  when  we  shook  hands  and  departed.

Madan  -  was  the  captain.  I  will  always  play  for  him  if  he  gives  me  a  chance.   Bow

Trevor  -  Only  person  who  was  never  in  the  waters.  But  he  was  there  in  everything,  in  all  the  action  in  his  inimitable  way.  His  jokes  and  one  liners  that  never  let  us  feel,  heat,  hunger,  anger  etc  Thumbs Up
Eg.  Some  one  caught  a  red  shrimp.  Trevor's  reaction:  That  bloody  shrimp  has  been  hogging  on  a  f@#*ing  tomato,  Man.  That's  why  it  is  showing  red  colouration.

Nayak  -  For  the  immense  enthusiasm  to  collect  fishes,  teach  new  bies  the  finer  points,  tremendous  sense  of  humour.

Mayur  -  Master  in  catching  fishes,  in  and  out  of  the  water.  For  keeping  the  Killies  for  me.  :p

 Thanks  Dev.

i  do  hope  we  will  get  to  see  some  snaps  of  the  fish  that  were  caught  and  are  swiming  safely  in  the  tanks.

hey  I  do  hope  that  the  car  gets  repaired  the  snps  do  look  a  little  frightful  ......  thank  god  no  one  was  hurt  bad.

Thank  you  everyone  for  making  this  trip  a  most  enjoyable  one.

 Especially  to

Deepak  (random  2)  of  Mysore  for  booking  the  rooms  and  making  sure  we  all  stayed  at  the  same  Hotel.  And  keeping  the  logbook.

Arka  (Tiger  Shark)  the  Newbie  for  being  such  a  good  sport  and  ever  smiling.

Suraj  (nature  lover)  of  Coimbatore  for  helping  around  especially  with  packing/unpacking  the  fishes.

Deb  of  Hyderabad  for  being  such  fun  and  helping  us  catch  the  loaches  with  his  innovative  stunning  backward  dive  in  the  water.

Suneal  Mendonza  of  Mumbai  for  for  being  good  company  even  with  his  weary  half  closed  eyes.  The  life  threatening  drift  by  Navneeth  woke  him  up  for  good.

Ashwin  of  Chennai  for  showing  such  enthusiasm  and  a  keen  interest  to  learn.

Shreyas  the  first  timer  who  was  the  most  successful  fish  catcher  with  his  innovative  ideas.  Will  post  about  it  later  on  this  thread.

Rahul  k  for  helping  everyone  in  every  manner.
