Headbanger - yeah dude you're totally right about everything. and i'm very sorry for using the word 'us'. i can imagine the offense caused to an purist and conscientious hobbyist like you. thanks for the tutorial (dollars are schooling fish, smaller fish are food for larger fish) anyway. and no you didn't sound harsh, you sound like an elitist.
the smaller fish usually are food for larger fish (that is true always), but with an RTC its much more prominent, as i have seen them picking up other tankmates even when they have had a good amount of food just before picking up tankmates, in your case the smaller fish haven't disappeared till now, probably because of the water quality.
i know i sounded like an ass in the previous post, but you so very deserve it for the way you have been keeping them is just not right, you have such a lot of bio load in your tank and most of the fish u have in there are just not compatible.
gars are quite difficult to keep with aggressive feeding fish, they tend to break their backs when kept so.
u might have a feeling that u have been keeping them all for such a long time, and u can keep for a little more time like this, but if some havoc gets lose in that tank, every thing will come crumbling down like a pack of cards
