One more thing,
Don't be disheartened even if we don't manage to catch/see a single fish in a trip. This trip will serve as foundation for our future trip, monsoon season brings lot of waterbodies in action and in turn plenty of fishes.
I will be hunting for those bloody Flowerhorns in a river if they had managed to make their way from Powai to Badlapur.
|
Flowerhorns in river??? that too in india?
I read they created a havoc and disturbed the eco system when released in the lakes of malayasia!! |

I don't really understand catch-and-release.
You don't want to take the fish home but you sure want to make it late for something.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late revert.
Yes as rightly said by Yogesh the 630 Am time is good and we have to be there at Kurla station on time so that we do not miss the train.
about the place i spoke to my friend who stays there the river is still flowing and we should definately have lots of fun.
about suggestions all are welcome. i do understand that no one here is trying their best to discourage others buy guys lets have some incouragement as well so get your self to gether and lets make the trip
once we get there we will decide what to eat and so on.
Yogesh requesting that we stick to the same time since i do not plan to miss out any one who is commiing from far away.( kindly suggest)
regards,
Clive |

So 6.30am is the reaching time.... But how long will you wait at Kurla for others? upto 7.00am?
what shouid I do? I come from CST.
I was told to catch a train "badlapur fast" at 6.16am from CST, so what time will it reach Kurla? should I meet you all at badlapur or Kurla?
Please guide me, I am new to central line.... I dont want to get lost, my family will miss me |

Please read the note below:
d1. River at Badlapur West. Lots of nice wood shrimps and driftwood to collect.
Plus, cichlids, barbs, rasboras, gobies, garras, loaches, eels and danios too.
If you wish to take a train upto Badlapur, get down at west and keep walking towards Karjat end, road parallel to the track. The walk should be not less than a kilometer.
date 19th.April 2009
meeting point Kurla railways ticket booking counter suggestions welcome.
I hope i have answered all the questions.........
I would suggest incase you do not want to get lost you can get down at badlapur instead of Kurla and also carry every one cell no so once u reach Kurla station u can call us and we will let you know if we are on the same train or the fast train before you I would also suggest catch the fast train to badlapur the one that is leaving CSt at 5.45 Am or the 5.55 Am there is a fast train that leaves at that time.
regards,
Clive |

Best way will be to pre decide a compartment that everyone should get into.No matter whichever station does one board the train.
For eg. The compartment behid the karjat end first class bogie.
( In my college days, the common compartment for all of we friends used to be the one behind the ladies compartment )
Or as Clive suggested, go upto badlapur and keep in touch on cellphone.
BTW,
Someone please confirm on this.
Badlapur falls out of the Bombay Telecom circle so if your cell phone doesnt have a roamimg enabled, I am not sure if they will work there.
Please check with the customer service. |

Well, I'm playing this Catch & Release game because don't have spare tank for storing them, also don't wanna disturb apetite of my current fishes. The purpose here is to know various native species available in nearby waterbodies, thats for me. Always up for good DW piece if found there. |

Maybe we can re-schedule it to 06:15AM because we need to get tickets fast & will need to co-ordinate with people who didn't reach at Gathering Spot on time and also to confirm their status for the trip. |
