 Nayak,

You  can  keep  them  for  me.  Will  pick  them  up  when  I  come  there  next  or  Vignesh  can  bring  them  when  he  comes  here.

Sure  Suraj.  Anything  for  you.  No  hassels  from  my  side.

This  is  a  very  rare  fish  and  you  do  have  very  high  hopes.  Chuckle

The  only  glitch  I  foresee  is  that  it  belongs  to  this  Guy  and  you  will  have  to  pass  him  to  get  the  fishes.

 Regards,
 Nayak.

Thanks,  Nayak.  How  many  do  you  have?

Passing  the  smiling  assassin  is  not  going  to  be  a  major  issue,  I  guess.  It  will  probably  take  some  good  cashew  fruit  to  get  past.  They  were  amazing,  my  first  time  and  I  must  thank  the  two  of  you  for  that.   Thumb Up

 hi  Trevor.
how  do  you  find  your  triangularis  with  each  other?,  we  had  big  problems  when  keeping  a  group  of  them  together,  fighting  broke  out  as  soon  as  they  saw  each  other.
i  had  an  idea  but  did'nt  know  if  it  would  work  but  it  did  a  great  jjob,  the  fish  were  kept  in  a  4  ft  tank  so  i  took  all  the  decorations  out  of  the  tank  and  replaced  them  with  weighted  wool  mops  clustered  together,  within  minutes  all  the  triangularis  was  in  the  mops  and  i  never  saw  them  fight  again  in  this  setup.  Thumb Up

I  dont  have  much  of  a  prob  Mick.   I  got  them  with  few  other  Nemacheilidae.   Yes  there  is  a  bit  of  bully  while  feeding  and  other  than  that  no  big  problem.   Of  course,  thanks  to  PVC  pipes,  boulders  &  rocks.

Doesnt  PVC  pipes  make  the  ambiance  artificial?  My  question  to  the  experts  is  that  when  creating  a  biotope  why  do  you  guys  use  artificial  decorations?  Any  specific  reasons?

Easiest  to  provide,  does  the  job,  just  plain  lazy.  Add  or  take  your  pick.

I  use  it  in  a  way  which  doesn't  affect  aesthetics.   I  jus  use  4"-6"  long  PVC  burrowed  in  sand  with  one  end  closed.   Oh  and  yes,  I  have  PVC  just  dumped  in  my  BB  tanks.   As  long  as  the  fish  are  happy  &  colourful,  i  forget  about  the  rest.

Hi  Mick,  I  too  do  not  have  any  problem  with  the  triangularis.  And  thanks,  I  will  keep  in  mind  your  formula  if  they  ever  decide  to  fight.
A  quick  short  frantic  chase  during  feeding  time  is  the  worst  they  do.
At  present  these  are  with  other  local  Indian  loaches  from  Karnataka.  I  have  placed  plenty  of  rocks  and  driftwood  with  innumerable  nooks  and  crannies.
I  have  used  only  natural  stuff  in  my  tank.

your  pic  is  brilliant  Trevor,  mine  look  so  different  to  yours  in  the  pattern,  will  this  depend  on  the  catchment  areas?
once  i've  uploaded  i'll  put  a  pic  of  one  of  mine.  Thumb Up
