Hi  Madhu,  love  the  Kolus  !  When  you  say  c/f  ,  how  do  Kolus's  vary  from  each  other  ,  also  what  is  the  reported  size  on  this  fish  ?

 Thanks  Andy.

 Andy,
Generally  Gonoproktopterus  have  a  slender  body  and  smaller  scales.   In  brief  they  resemble  a  bit  something  like  the  tanganyikan  Xenotilapias.   But  Rahul  says,  it  looks  like  a  Barbodes.   Have  to  wait  until  he  confirms.   The  fish  has  greyish-silvery  tips  on  all  the  fins  which  is  in  the  description  of  kolus.   That  description  says  it  grows  to  30  cm  TL.   We've  seen  a  10"  G.  curmuca  though.

Ahh  they're  wonderful  fish  though  !  its  good  that  you  are  trying  these  fish  in  your  tanks  as  they  are  poorly  observed  so  far  ,  and  really  worthy  of  study  ,  keep  up  the  good  work   Thumb Up
