Had  that  doubt  Beta,  but  never  knew  it  could  be  keralensis  as  mine  never  came  out  of  the  pots  and  gokul's  never  displayed  as  far  as  i  saw.   BTW,  aint  it  an  Oreonectes.   It  was  from  Kerala  &  you  obviously  know  who  it  could  be.   Very Happy

That  last  loach  looks  like  one  of  mine.

Do  you  think  mine  are  separate  species  or  probably  male  and  female?

There  are  a  lot  of  people  who  try  to  convince  me  that  my  loaches  are  Schistura  sp.  "Crimson"

Nice  pics  n  new  fish  matey!!
Loved  the  Un-IDed  Puntius  as  well  as  the  male  Arulius.

The  Un-IDed  puntius  does  have  the  shape  of  a  bimaculatus,  but  this  is  way  more  beautiful  in  a  subtle  way  Smile

Some  this  way  please  Very Happy

 Thanks  buddies.

Andy,  the  un-ided  barb  looks  to  me  like  what  was  supposedly  called  as  Puntius  amphibius,  though  haven't  seen  it  before  in  pics  or  have  the  original  description.   Any  possible  ID  on  it?
And  the  Mystus,  initially  thought  of  it  as  vittatus  when  collected,  now  looks  like  montanus  or  something  else?

 Shankar:

I  dont  think  that  Mystus  is  from  Achenkovil  .  Only  one  Mystus  was  collected  from  Achenkovil  and  where  it  is  right  now  is  a  mystery.  I  have  5  specimens  of  the  same  Mystus    Madhu  has  and  if  I  remember  correctly,  we  collected  a  lotta  Mystus  from  Papanasam  and  nearby  areas.  This  could  be  'em.

 Madhu  :

No  patterns  on  the  Mystus???  They  developed  a  lovely  pattern  here.  Around  2  or  3  stripes  similar  to  vittatus  but  much  wider  and  a  tad  lighter.
