Hi,
As an aquarium enthusiast, I was excited to see makemyhobby.com, a website that seems to have an unbelievable array of aquarium fish and plants. I placed an order amounting to 3000 rupees in exotic plants and shipping fees for 500 Rs. Imagine my surprise when the very expensive plants I ordered all came back dead! The live fish didn't arrive at all. The only thing that came safe was fish food.
I attached a picture of plants that were all dead but not made into pulp like the rest. This was money down the drain.
They have very poor customer service and didn't even offer to resend the order. Please be wary of this site and wait until you find a better site. I hope something like PetCo or LiveAquaria comes up here. Does anyone have other experiences with Make My Hobby? I don't think I can trust any online stores anymore.
Are there other stores that I could trust?

| there are lots of other people here who can send you plants that will reach you in perfect condition....hope its a lesson learned. |

| Kunal, can you tell me from where you order them from? I know of http://www.nautilusaquasystems.com which is of course a very good company, but the online store just sucks. |

Dude, you're old on the forum, A search showed up similar experiences, you may get lucky. The only ones that survived from my lot were some bulbs. Luck! |

| every cloud has a silver lining. I paid using my UK credit card, so if they don't ship within 1 week or if they ship rotten plant then i will get reversal of payment |

| you can try suraj aka nature_lover. he has a aquarium store. i usually order plants from him. mobile is 09843338888. Deepak Brid also has some plants. mostly mosses. his no. is 09886167367. have ordered from both and their quality is always up to the mark. these are the two persons who i order from. nautilus is also ok. have ordered a few times from there too. most of us avoid makemyhobby. |

you should have asked other hobbyists before ordering stuff about their experience with makemyhobby.......according to me i find indiapetstore.com the best online store  ...i am sure you will be happy dealing with them .....also if you still need plants let me know i have 100 varities... |

Sorry to hear about your plant shipment though. We suggest you to browse through our 'LFS Announcements' forum for your plants & livestock requirement. Our Commercial members regularly posts availability of stuff with them every Sunday under the said forum. Again to be noted, IAH do not mediate between any dispute for any deal gone sour.

I was given a price more than two times of the price here in Bangalore or Chennai.
