Show us some of the recent pics of the tank dude, so that we can tell you what all went wrong there.
The rocks that you have used needs to be discarded immediately as they are doing more damage than doing good to the theme. You need the temp to be within 26 degrees to have a good HC growth. Further, HC is not a beginners plant. So would suggest Eleocharis parvula as your fore ground option as a beginner. If you manage to grow it, then you should try the more advanced plants.
A 1 kg cylinder is a waste of money, buy a much much bigger cylinder. Who ever made you decide on that was just pushing his product, Take advice from experts before you jump start any more planted projects IMHO. Do not listen to self proclaimed experts as they are coming a dime a dozen now a days if you really want a good looking and long lasting planted tank.
Hope this helps. |

Comments from a fellow IAH and not a planted expert
The tank looks neat. Only little suggestion is that mve the Blyxas as a bunch next to the rock that is covering the HM. It would look nice with a dense bush at one corner and HC carpet all over.
Why do you need the liquid filter? HOB should be sufficient. Remove the liquid filter for (1) looks and (2) a more practical reason. Remeber, a running motor inside the tank does increase tank temperature. You need to bring the tank temp down to 25/26 for HC to survive and grow. So you can remove the liquid filter.

Hi Bappa,
Thx for your suggestion about Blyxas..Just waiting for grown up little bit.
But about liquid filer what I know (or suggested by experts) that in tank need some flow which help to dilute CO2
with water very nicely. But HOB can't do this. It is only for filtration.
Need clarification from the Plant Gurus.............. |

Is the right side of the tank jutting outside the table support? If so, it could crack the glass. Depends of course on glass thickness and all that; its a considerable risk, I would think. |

I would suggest moving some of the stems into the gap at the back between the two bunches of stem. Also, Trim your stems so that they get bushy. You can use the trimmings to fill in the gaps. |

Nice carpet formation!
Overall tank is maturing very well.
I would have added more stems(rotalas/HMs) on right background and a little over let to balance it out. Or maybe some e.vivipara(tall hairgrass) or no plants except HC and blyxa. |
