I  have  a  cement  tank  outside  my  house.  The  problem  is  it  is  covered  by  trees  and  there  is  no  way  the  branches  can  be  cut  off  to  allow  the  sunlight.  Due  to  this  I  am  not  able  to  grow  any  plants  on  those  tanks.  During  morning  sun  light  falls(not  heavily)  on  the  tank  for  30-45  minutes.  Is  there  any  shade  loving  plants  that  I  can  use  on  this  tank  ?

I  too  have  a  small  cement  tank  below  a  mango  tree.  Gaint  vals  are  growing  crazily  in  it.  If  its  shallow,  you  can  also  try  anubias.

I  had  put  a  piece  of  wood  with  anubias  for  few  months  and  the  growth  was  good,  but  the  leave  stalks  became  longer.  Think  it  was  because  of  the  depth.

If  you  want  a  cheaper  option  and  dense  growth,  go  with  vals.

Crypts,  Anubias  will  be  fine  too.  But  I  think  plants  will  grow  ell  even  in  shade....may  be  you  have  to  work  on  the  substrate  a  bit
