Hi  guys  this  is  from  our  fellow  Iah  member,  Romi...

 Hi  everybody,

Just  like  how  i  found  white  worms  last  year,  and  roughly  in  november
2008,  this  time  i  found  the  smaller  grindal  worms  [i  was  deliberately
looking  for  half-inchers  like  grindals  and  not  one-inchers  like  white
worms  are,  this  time]  on  this  5th  of  November.  they  were  obtained  from
vermicomost  that  i  dumped  under  a  tree  in  my  yard  and  kept  moist.  i
used  bits  of  cooked  oatmeal  covered  in  soil  to  attract  them  and  picked
out  worms  that  i  thought  were  small  enough  to  be  grindals.

I  also  maintain  a  culture  of  red  wigglers  [eisenia  fetida]  that  are
larger  worms  for  goldfish.  i  think  grindals  like  to  live  with  these
worms.  I  got  the  vermicompost  from  the  red  wigglers.

let  me  know  what  u  think.  if  u  have  seen  grindals  already  and  can
recognize  them,  please  give  me  your  view.

the  real   test  of  their  being  grindals  will  be  when  the  summer  arrive,
only  they  can  withstand  high  temperatures  while  white  worms  will  die.

 best  wishes,

 Romi  a.k.a  Abhimanyu

it  is  the  peak  of  summer  and  the  worms  are  still  doing  well.

sadly,  due  to  camera  issues  i  cannot  post  new  photos.

however,  i  can  offer  grindal  worms  to  any  SERIOUS  hobbyists  in  delhi  who  are  interested  in  them  since  i  have  several  cultures  doing  well.
