 Hi  ;

 1.  I  just  wanted  to  know  is  it  mandatory  to  buy   Eheim  Sudstrat  Pro  and
 Ehfimech  for  2217  compared  to  the  local  one  selling  in  aquastar

 2.  What  difference  does  it  make  as  aquastar  has  the  same  product  listed   in  the  eheim  site  of  asia  pacific  region,  but  aquastar  sells  it  at  a  cheaper
 rates  ??

 http://www.eheimasiapacific.com/prod_e_media_bio.html
 http://www.eheimasiapacific.com/prod_e_media_mech.html

 3.Is  it  worth  buying  from  aquastar  or  should  i  go  for  eheim  branded
 Eheim  Sudstrat  Pro  and   Ehfimech

 4.Pls  help  me  in  this  matter????????   Sad   Sad

 Why  do  you  want  to  waste  money  on  all  that..  Just  use  ceramic  rings  and  carbon..

 I  just  got  my  2217.  the  dealer  (Aquastar)  suggested  I  skip  the  mech  filer  (the  cermaic  rings)
 at  the  bottom  and  use  the  coarse  blue  pads  with  a   layer  of
 aquacaly  in  the  middle  and  topped  with  the  white  (fine)  filter  pad.  carbon  pad  at  the  top
 (  to  be  used  only  for  2-3  weeks.

 Aquacaly  seems  to  be  good  bio  filer  substrate  but  was  wondering  if  skipping  the  ceramic  rings  at  the  bottom
 is  a  good  idea  ?  Ehem  has  one  config  which  suggests  you  use  the  blue  and  the  white  pads  only.  But
 not  sure  if  this  is  meant  fora   simple  or  relatively  light  duty  setup.  I  wish  they  were  a   little  more  clear  in  their
 instructions.  If  you  recommend  two  set-up  configurations,  they  should  explain  the  reasons  for  the  difference  !

 Any  help  would  be  appreciated.
