Trevor, Rufus, Deepak (random2), Nayak and Madhu left yesterday morning to explore Sita River. They have found 2 unknown species of loaches
and polished off a bottle of scotch, when I last talked to them,.
I could not go on the trip due to some sudden trouble.
They are staying at Hebiri for 2 nights and doing the Sita River from Agumbe to Udipi.

No Shankar, I knew you would be jealous, so would many who dropped out,
This trip is a "make everyone jealous" trip.
They are painting madhu in stripes, with blue ears and yellow limbs to net that single rare catch.
Tight red cheddies don't seem to work around the Sita River.

Sita is no exception to scarlet cheddies. Loaches seem to mark territory around it. No luck with danio sp. yet.

We have taken fish chasing to a higher level. Lo and behold, Five stars have risen above Sita river. No dearth of Aplocheilus, Etroplus, Puntius, Devario, Acanthocobitis, Schistura, Nemacheilus, Lepidocephalus garra and various unidentified species etc, etc. And verily we say unto thee ichthyology is being rewritten as you wait and watch.

eagerly would wait for some pics...Pity the last time we went to the same location....the river was flooded and in full spate ...still showed us some glimpses of what the river was hiding from us !!!
