Shrimps, need good water quality. As long as you keep up with water changes and make sure that there is no sudden temperature variation, with enough algae to feed them, they wont die. |

actually i dont agree with the water changes. i have rainbows and cherrys in my tank and they do just fine with out excess water changes. my temps are between 28 to 32 on any given day. if there isnt enough alage suplement them with algae wafers or spirulina wafers. atm am feeding my shrimps veggie flakes. |

the shrimps in the first 3 pics are females and in the fourth pics its a male,
these are excellent algae eaters,
they are know by many names such as rainbow shrimps(they have another sub groups 3 groups), indian dwarf shrimps, etc....
these shrimps are scavangers by nature and will take whatever you offer them including regular pellets, they are not as demanding as most of the other shrimps, infact these are hardier than the RCS |

they might have come on plants but that depends how you pack your plants. most people here just wet an few sheets of news paper and wrap the plant in that. shrimps will not survive in this. its is possble that u collected them from that park and they are starting to mature now. |
