HI All,
It might sound a bit odd but what is the type of food that can be give for fishes in planted aquarium? and how can it be cleaned with out disturbing the substrate and plants rooting?
I have had this problem with the cleaning of the left overs which even the bottom dwellers do not touch and always had to vacuum clean it up. |

I guess there is no specific food type for planted aquarium....u feed the same stuff but just feed in limited quantities and not dump so much that i settles at the bottom, there is no other way other than vaccuming...you can try not feeding your fish |

Feed small quantities slowly so that they consume most of it before it falls to the substrate. You can also get some shrimp that will take care of the leftovers. |

If the food is settling down at the bottom and is not being eaten by fish, it can only mean that you are feeding excess food.
Cut down on food and the problem will go away. |

stop feeding so much. How old is your tank. If it's old then u are over feeding if it's not, you didn't cycle it properly. try feeding live food. Bottom dwellers like to scoop out tubifex or bloodworms. |
