Hi  folks  this  i  am  posting  pics  of  my  light  hood  at  last.  i  made  it  for  my  two  footer,  took  me  about  a  week  to  build  it  but  it  was  worth  it  its  as  strong  as  a  tank.

All  Materials  used  is  Stainless  Steel,  i  bent  sheet  metal  for  the  curved  cover.  the  lights  used  are  2ft  philips  T5  24watt  x  4  tubes  and  mirror  optic  sheet  for  reflector  the  ballast  are  concealed  ┬áinside  minimizing  electrical  work  seen  outside.  hope  you  find  it  useful,  sorry  i  do  not  have  step  by  step  pics  of  the  build

will  surely  post  pics  with  the  underside  of  the  hood  PremKK  has  borrowed  it  for  a  while  will  shoot  some  pics  when  i  visit  him

 Hi  Arjun,

Very  nice  work...  It  would  be  nice,  if  you  can  show  the  inner  side  of  the  hood.

Hi  the  ballasts  are  fixed  to  the  top  of  the  hood,  i  mean  the  curved  part  its  sandwiched  between  top  of  the  hood  and  the  mirror  optic  reflectors  over  the  tubes..
the  only  pic  i  have  showing  the  bottom  is  the  reflection  of  the  tubes  on  the  cling  wrap..hope  it  helps.  i  dont  have  the  light  with  me  right  now  prem  has  borrowed  it  will  shoot  more  pics  when  i  visit  him

its  stainless  steel  so  no  worries  about  heat..it  gets  a  bit  warm  on  the  top  but  does  not  affect  the  tank  in  any  way  due  to  the  hieght...
