You've  done  very  well  for  the  first  attempt!  Nice  looking  setup.  The  black  background  is  accentuating  the  plant  colors.

 Nice  setup.   Clapping

Just  fillup  the  front  right  side  &  IMO  some  trimming  is  required  to  give  some  shape  for  the  center  bunch  of  rotala.

Your  plants  are  very  healthy  and  vibrant.  With  a  little  more  effort  you  can  turn  this  into  an  impressive  dutch  type  scape.

And  do  share  the  tank  specifications.

You  can  cut  the  runners  and  plant  them  in  the  empty  place.  It  will  spread  well  and  form  a  carpet.

As  for  as  the  proper  size  I  am  assuming  you  mean  its  growing  tall,  many  of  us  faces  the  same  issue,  but  a  proper  co2  injunction  and  high  light  will  make  them  stay  low.

Mention  your  tank  specifications,  I  am  sure  some  one  will  guide  you  on  this.

 -Vishwa.

 Beautiful  and  healthy  plants.
Fill  right  side  of  the  tank  with  some  tall  plants  in  curve.
Also  add  some  midground  plants  and  foreground  plants.  You  can  easily  convert  it  in  a  dutch  style  tank.
