 You  can  add  Palak  too.
A  binder  like  gelatine  would  be  useful  as  you  seem  to  be  adding  a  lot  of  ingredients.  Personally  I  would  give  a  miss  to  the  Today  products  and  keep  it  simple.

actually  wanted  all  tetra  products  but  they  are  a  bit  difficult  to  get  in  poona...This  was  the  first  time  i  went  all  out  and  took  a  little  bit  from  one  receipe  and  a  little  bit  from  another  receipe  and  made  it..
If  iam  adding  spirulina  is  there  need  to  add  palak  as  well?

The  Quantity  of  Tetra  Bits,  carrots,  spirulina  and  Becosule  seems  toooo  much!!  with  this  kind  of  T-bits  and  carrots  your  fish  are  bound  to  lose  their  natural  coloration  and  turn  reddish!!  I  have  assuned  that  your  3  heatrs  would  weigh  aournd  2-2.5  Kilos  after  cleaning!!!!  I  think  you  should  reduce  on  the  above  ingredients  and  add  some  prawns  (the  white  ones)...  say  around  100  to  200  gms.

IMO  you  can  cut  the  today's  products  as  they  add  no  additional  neutritional  value  and  increase  spirulina  along  with  the  addition  of  garlic.  Adding  gel  would  help  in  keeping  the  water  getting  cloudy.

Most  of  the  LFS  guys  will  not  really  know  what  is  Beef  heart  mix.

The  best  way  is  for  a  couple  of  guys  to  join  together  at  a  suitable  beef  friendly  house  and  make  the  Beefheart  mix.  It  makes  more  sense  since  each  person  will  only  require  a  small  quantity.Smile

Thats  the  way  it  is  normally  done  and  then  shared  in  Bangalore.

Or  you  could  pick  up  some  quality  BHM  stuff  from  Adip.

By  the  way  when  you  refrigate  the  stuff  remember  to  label  it  with  a  proper  pleasing  eco-friendly  name  so  that  only  the  fish  know  whats  in  it.  Thumbs Up

My  beef-heart  mix  at  consists  of  about  1/2  ks  beefheart  at  one  time.
 1)  Beefheart  1/2  kg  smashed  into  tiny  bits.
 2)  Wet/Fresh  prawns  or  shrimps  x  80  to  100  gms.
 3)  1  x  small  garlic
 4)  1  x  medium  sized  carrot
 5)  1  x  medium  sized  apple
 6)  1  x  medium  sized  capsicum!  (yes,  fish  eat  this  too!)
 7)  1  x  medium  sized  beetroot  (yes  this  too!!)
Cool  Half  handfull  of  white  oats  (uncooked)
Next  I  blend  all  this  together  into  one  sticky  lump  and  add  enough  DRY  SHRIMP  (called  "javla"  in  mumbai)  to  adjust  the  consistency  to  the  thickest  possible.

I  freeze  this  in  small  plates  and  then  ready  to  serve  within  3-4  hours!
NO  GELATINE  USED.  NO  DIFFERENCE  NOTED.

The  red  ones  are  supposed  to  be  a  good  source  for  carotenoids.
