This  plant  has  been  around  for  a  year  or  so.  Check  out  the  other  planted  aquaria  forums  on  the  net.
Tropica  and  another  Italian  nursery  are  selling  it,  and  it  must  be  foully  expensive  by  the  time  it  reaches  here  with  multiple  mark  ups.
This  plant  is  a  slow  adapter  but  once  it  starts  to  grow,  it  should  be  nice,  brownish  red  leaves,  and  the  best  part  is  it's  roots  are  epiphytic.
That  is  they  will  attach   themselves  to  wood,  rock  etc.,

Have  a  few  cutting  to  give  away  in  anyone  is  interested  in  trying  it  out!  Submerged  growth!!!

Thanks  for  posting  Adip.  But  Have  seen  it  grow  extremely  large  on  forums  ,so  not  sure  if  it  would  suit  nanos,  unless  its  a  growout.  Should  be  a  hit   in  Madans  biggy  Thumb Up  for  sure

A  month  back  had  requested  Shubankar,  Humaid  and  Vijay  to  check  out  this  plant.
So  all  waits  for  them  to  make  a  nice  trip  along  Goa.(<<  hope  your  guys  are  listening,  high  time  to  collect  plants  as  well!!!)

 Cheers!

 Hi  Sai,

Not  been  able  to  take  out  time  for  a  collection  trip.  With  6  tanks  at  home  and  a  just  established  marine  setup,  Sundays  go  by  with  water  changes,  trimmings  and  what  not.  But  any  of  you  guys  plan  to  come  down  to  Goa,  we  could  plan  out  a  collection  trip  on  a  Sunday.  Any  takers????

 Cheers,

 Vijay.

 Sai,

Check  this  link  (its  bulgarian  translated  to  English,  so  spare  the  grammer)

 Hygrophilla  Pinatifida

It  says  can  be  found  in  North  Indian  river  basins  also.  Anyways  need  to  search  for  it  one  of  these  days.

 Cheers,

 Vijay.

 Hi  Vijay,

Thanks  a  lot  for  the  link   Bow  -  which  means  our  people  from  Maharashtra,  Karnataka  and  TamilNadu  too  have  a  chance.
For  trips  near  to  Goa,  you  need  to  look  out  for  Humaid  and  Shubs  posts  often.

 Good  luck!  Thumb Up

The  new  shoots  of  this  loner

Really  Slow  growth,  the  new  shoots  attach  on  rocks  really  well  ,  but  its  difficult  to  acclimatize  a  cutting  onto  rocks  or  wood.

Shared  a  few  cuttings  with  some  hobbyists,  dosent  seem  too  easy  to  grow!  Guess  it  needs  high  light  and  a  nutrient   rich  substrate!
Lets  hope  we  master  the  plants  of  our  homeland  quickly.  Will  give  out  more  cuttings  as  and  when  i  have  them.
