 Poor  loach  is  still  chilling  out  in  the  freezer..
 
 Another  set  of  pics  and  videos  from  another  trip  last  weekend.

 Puntius  sharmai  adult  -  Have  never  seen  one  as  big.  This  was  1.5  inches  TL!
 
 
 An  injured  Puntius  chola  /  P.  orphoides
 
 
 A  dead  P.  chola  /  orphoides
 
 
 Hemichromis  sp  with  their  valued  possession
 
 
 The  Dwarf  E.  maculatus  with  fries
 
 
 A  short  video  of  the  Dwarf  Etroplus  with  the  fries.  The  size  of  the  fish  is  comparable  to  my  finger  in  the  video;  am  a  small  built  person  though!  :  )

 Those  are  not  P.  orphoides.  Jus  P.  sophore.
 
 And  the  glassfish  is  Chanda  nama  and  not  Parambassis  sp!!

 They  are  all  the  same  species.  Just  that  the  individuals  in  the  stagnant  small  pools  spawn  at  a  smaller  size..........something  like  Bonzai  Very Happy

 Simple  P.  orphodes  and  P.  sarana  have  four  barbels  (2  pairs)  quite  long  ones  and  P.  sophore  has  none.  Moreover  P.  sarana  and  P.  orphoides  do  not  have  a  spot  in  the  dorsal  fin.  P.  orphoides  can  be  distinguished  from  P.  sarana  by  the  broad  black  colour  of  the  principle  rays  of  the  caudal  fin.

 Nope!  it  is  the  other  way,  Chanda  is  leaner.
