| ha ha ha. Madan Sir, moving the rocks now will be such a pain. and besides it will fiddle with the slope of the tank which is from left to right. |

Very good Mudjawd. Whats your name? Calling Mudjawd is irritating.
But I think if we need to do something remarkable in competitions, we have to do some thing extraordinary. Even I have something like this cooking at my back yard. What I mean is the scape is becoming extremely commom Iwagumi attempt. I thgink I have seen at least 3-4 similar scapes already. |

thanks Deb,
my name is Muddassar. and i agree with you about the commonness of the scape but i now plan not to put this scape in any competitions. i just did it as i needed something for my aquarium as i never tried an iwagumi before.
given the small size of this tank i was pretty restricted with the rock formations. i mean i put different orientations of the rocks but only to find out that they don't look good. with a big Tank i assume there are lots of possibilities which we can explore. i guess almost all the tanks that win the competition are big and have lots of depth (some exceptions might be there). |

| Limited space limited options..how true. When Toying with rocks I faced the same problem. How ever, yours is a better one than mine. |

Nice!
HC filled out very well. Is it still running on excel?
too much GSA on rocks is distracting, a bit of it is fine here and there. You can scrub it off with stiff brushes.
@Dev...I agree with you to most extent, but again, sometimes good old formula done in right proportions is rewarding, this is a decent example of that. I dont just mean competitions, as everyone have a totally different opinion about competing, there are some people with awe-inspiring setups who dont even show off anywhere and their tanks are meant for their sheer pleasure. |

yep Hamza, Excel is still used for this aquarium but not regularly. i really like this tank as i sometimes change water in 15 days and it still tolerates it. i have to do some basic tuning like using a glass diffuser (right now i am using cigarette filter ) and get a background etc. the cold weather is dying down so i can gather some energy to venture out on weekends and travel to the fish stores.
since november things were so cold and gloomy that i only went out if it was necessary.
i never tried an iwagumi before so this was my first attempt and i guess i pretty much did it fine. and besides it is such low maintenance as both HC and HG are uber cool plants with very basic needs.
HC needs to fill in more, i guess in another 20 days i'll have an evenly distributed carpet.
i'll put some fish in there next week. also will clean the GSA |

Diffuser? Are you running it on CO2?
I was in the impression that C is pumped in through excel. |

I do not agree with you. I think they do not show because they do not have. This is a well preserved myth that we have many people with splendid tanks who do not post their tank pics. All BULL SHIT.
They do not post as if they do then the so called belief that they have splendid tanks will get busted. |
