Hi Kaya,
What are your plans for lighting up the pond. Are there underwater light fixtures?
Nice setup. Keep us updated. |

Thanks for your replies people..
sarge.. hi.. no mate.. didn't want to do any sort of wiring or anythin in the main pond.. jus so that i wanted it to be clean and easy for me and the fishies.. say a light got fused or somethin then the pain.. didn't want to go thru that.. even now all motors and heaters will be stowed away in the sump.. nothin in the main pond area.. for now its gonna be a couple of regular tube lights or cfl and def some zero watt bulbs.. i did have tank lights before on my aros tank.. then when i got a BGK in the same tank.. i had to switch it off at nights so he'd come out to feed.. so i just had a zero watt bulb around the tank area..still do.. so its gonna be the same.. just being stingy |

If not floating plants then atleast drop in a few tall potted plants. What other plans for in tank decor ? A galss viewing panel would have been really cool, even a 2x2' window in front. |

hi mortis.. the thing is i want the entire floor space for my RTC.. there will be potted creeper plants flowing from the sump into the main tank area.. i do agree glass would have been great but i didnt wanna take the risk.. there will be glass around the tank any how but more as a barrier and also as a viewing pane(the glass and water will not have any contact though).. i guess only if you see the final pics you can get the clear picture.. |

@Kaya: Underwater wiring will be a hassle . But are tube lights and CFL enough to light up a pond of this size? Will the fishes be visible? Or visibility is not of importance here |
