Saurabh,  Right  side  wood  is  looking  very  good.  Add  some  java  fern.
One  suggestion:  Remove  the  left  side  driftwood  and  put  some  rocks.

The  driftwood  are  nice  ,  but  the  placement  is  looking  very  symmetrical.
I  also  think  you  can  remove  left  side  drfitwood.
Put  some  moss  &  anubias  on  the  driftwood.
What  other  plants  are  you  thinking  about  using.

Good  start  Saurav.  You  have  a  brave  heart  to  start  a  planted  tank  middle  of  the  summer  in  Lucknow.

No,  not  a  brave  heart.  Am  quite  a  lethargic  fellow.  But  you  see  the  tank  leaked,  had  to  do  something.
Moreover  I  could  not  stand  the  Aunty  on  the  lower  floor  furious  with  water  dripping  on  her  bed.
Not  everybody  thinks  Aquarium  water  is  clean.

Tirtha,  the  floor  is  not  leaking  the  table  on  which  aquarium  was  kept  was  touching  the  wall,  water  slided  through  wall  to  skirting  which  had  some  gaps,  the  water  found  its  way  inside  and  the  capillaries  in  the  roof  did  the  rest.

Did  some  more  work  today,  rearranged  the  left  side  driftwood.  These  were  two  pieces  tied  together.  Removed  the  bigger  one  and  replaced  it  with  a  locally  collected  rock.  But  I  forgot  my  camera  card  in  office.   Doh

Got  a  dull  photo  from  a  mobile  camera

I  did  some  planting  too,  planted  Marselia  hirutsa  and  Elaine  triandra  and  added  water  to  make  the  water  level  1"  in  front.
 Will  post  snaps  tomorrow.

After  nearly  two  weeks  now.  And  around  a  week  after  adding  plants.  I  can  say  some  growth  is  visible  in  the  tank.

Hygrophilla  angustifollia,  which  had  always  been  in  my  tank,  is  established  and  is  growing  new  shoots.
Even  the  Echinodorus  quadristrata  is  growing  new  leaves.

Marsellia  hirutsa  is  also  showing  new  leaves.  Hope  it  forms  a  carpet.

Was  planning  for  glosso  in  the  foreground.  But  left  it  for  two  reasons.  First  being  non-availability  and  second  high  demands.

Some  of  the  plants  of  which  I  had  lost  hope  also  developed  new  shoots.  First  in  this  category  is  Myriophyllum  aquaticum.
Had  lost  all  the  leaves,  just  a  stem  covered  with  algae  was  left.  But  the  growth  is  visible.

Second  in  this  category  comes  Elaine  triandra.  Which  although  has  a  few  shoots  but  am  looking  forward  for  a  denser  growth.

Bacopa  monneri  on  the  other  hand  has  old  leaves  covered  with  algae,  although  new  leaves  are  growing.  I  am  depending  upon  my  crew  of  black  mollies  to  do  the  cleaning  job.

I  might  sound  too  optimistic  about  the  whole  thing,  but  this  is  the  all  I  could  manage  in  Lucknow.  This  city  has  zero  plant  outlets.  I  am  the  only  person  some  people  contact  when  they  are  looking  for  plants.  And  my  plants  too  have  melted  in  the  intense  heat  and  the  tough  transition  period  of  over  a  week.
 Just  keeping  my  fingers  crossed.
