This  is  my  attempt  to  create  a  normal  looking  planted  tank.  Changes  will  come  with  time  till  then  all  the  suggestion  are  most  welcome  to  improve  this.  Pics  taken  on  5th  day  of  being  setup.

Substrate  :  Sera  Floredepot  with  gravel  on  top
 Lighting  :  2  x  20watts  NO  tubes,  will  be  adding  3x  20  watts  T5s  next  week.
 No  CO2  as  of  now.

The  filter  media  was  used  from  a  previous  tank  as  well  as  half  the  substrate  also,  hence  the  fishes  are  already  in.

PLants  :  Rotola  Walichi,  Rotola  Macaranda,  Hemianthus,  Crytocoryne  Alba,Wendtii,Crispatula,Retrospiralis,  Anubias  nana,  Barteria,  Nuphar  Stellata  (Dwarf),  Pygmy  sword,  Sagittaria  Sp.  Dwarf.

It  is  not  easy  for  a  newbie  to  collect  so  much  plants  in  Delhi/N.C.R.  area  so  clapping  for  you  Clapping  .
Overall  good  looking  setup.  You  need  some  foreground  plants.

dont  keep  more  place  for  algae...fill  it  with  plants...experts  can  advice  more.

But  looking  good,  red  rocks  are  also  kept  well.

Any  suggestion  to  the  plants  that  can  be  added  that  would  be  low  demanding  in  terms  of  light  and  CO2

You  can  add  Hygrophila  Polysperma  for  background  and  some  more  Sagittaria  Subulata  in  the  foreground.

 @icywords

Just  plants,  everything  in  that  tank  look  ours  including  the  tank  itself  ..hehe  Smile  just  kidding.

My  2  cents,  a  saggitaria  carpet  covering  the  front  of  this  tank,  some  anubias  on  the  right  side  wood.
Also  may  be  some  BOLBITIS  HETEROCLITA  on  your  left  side  stone.  That  background  looks  empty.

The  Back  i  would  fill  up  with  either  rotala  wallichi  or  other  rotalas.  I  have  seen  bmukh's  (bappa)  tank  look  splendid  in  a  rotala  junggle  at  the  background.

Also  in  the  center  where  the  stone  is,  towards  the  right  of  it  in  the  front  there  are  blank  spaces,  May  be  a  red  lilly  would  look  good  and  break  the  contrast  as  well.

The  more  dense  you  plant  it,  the  more  chances  of  getting  less  algae.

Your  next  steps  should  be  increase  the  lighting  as  planned  and  a  pressurised  Co2.

 Warm  Regards
 Nirav  shah
