I  did  not  go  to  Sea  world  as  LFS's  m.blue  +rock  salt  did  the  jod  (  although  I  lost  3  severums+2  mollies  in  the  process  ).  But  can  you  gouys  tell  me  where  i  can  get  the  common  stuff  like  cupper  sulphate,KmnO4,  methylene  blue  crystals  etc  (  the  basic  chemical  needed  to  remove  parasite, fungus)  in  Hyd.
Now  next  time  onwards  I  am  going  to  buy  fish  more  a  reputed  shop  only  ..even  if  it  costs  little  more  !!  LFS  around  Secunderabad  railway  station  all  have  unhealthy  fishes.
Any  particular  shop  you  people  know  of  for  healthy  fish  ??
 Please  let  me  know.
 thanks,

Shaji,  are  you  looking  for  Potassium  permanganet  (  KMnO4)  for  you  new  plants  ?  I  got  KMnO4  yesterday  in  the  local  Pharma  shop.  6  Grms  cots  Rs.  5.  Not  sure  about  the  quality,  need  to  use  it  few  times  to  confirm.

To  remove  the  parasite,  dilute  KMnO4  solution  is  used  and  to  get  rid  off  snails  ,  'Potash  alum'  (  KAl(SO4)2·12(H2O))  is  used.  Generally  potash  alum  is  available  in  every  grocery  shop  and  widely  used  in  haircutting  shops  as  antiseptic  (  white  crystal  like  thing).
I  will  check  if  i  can  get  it  in  my  locality.  But  in  Kolkata  ,  it's  known  as  'Phitkiri'  and  easily  available.

 Hi  everyone,,,
I've  posted  pics  of  my  unfinished  DIYbg  in  the  gallery  and  also  some  pics  of  the  Public  aquarium,  vizag.  I  met  a  person  who  says  that  getting  those  ornamental  marine  fish  is  not  a  big  deal  but  he  says  the  fish  won'nt  survive  for  long  cos  they  can'nt  adjust  to  the  envi  and  ...............
and  abt  the  crushed  coral,  we  can  get  for  60  to  80  bucks  a  KG,  but  i  do'nt  know  abt  the  quality  ..  what  he  showed  me  was  plain  white  coral  crushed  into  pieces.  he  said  he  can  give  it  in  any  size,,big  or  small.  Hmmm  that's  all  for  now  ,,

hi  man  Naren  too  bad  cant  meet  u  when  you  where  in  the  city,
it  sure  isn't  a  big  deal  getting  those  fish  to  hyd,  but  as  that  guy  told  that  the  fish  wont  survive  means  that  he  is  not  a  man  of  knowledge  regarding  aquariums  otherwise  he  would  have  talked  something  like  "quarantine"  and  "acclimatization"
you  could  otherwise  get  those  fish  from  him  and  possibly  condition  them  for  transporting

 sibesh,
with  use  of  "kmno4"  make  sure  to  neutralize  the  kmno4  solution  by  means  of  "hydrogen  peroxide"
