Deepak,
The tank was made for them and it waited for them for more than 5 months. Finally they came in on february(12no's) and another batch of 10no's during april. the first were juveniles and the second batch were adults. These spawns are from the adults in 1.5 months time after being introduced to the main tank after quarantine.
Mudassir,
All the spawns are from the same parent and more importantly at the same place. |

My opinion is the following:
1. Eating up eggs could be due to continuous camera flash/you getting into the room for taking pics
2. Could be due to too open a tank (try using a curtain/saree just around that corner of the tank)
3. Threats from other fish
Could be wrong.

Krishna,
Great captures and documentation. Care to change the name of this thread. It does no justice to the excellent efforts here.

Nayak
Altered now, for you.
Hirshi
I could not differentiate, even immedietely after laying the eggs
The fish which laid egg is female and which fertilised is male. Assumed this and based on. |
