Sorry,  but  in  the  first  post  posted  by  Tirthada  says  that  your  substrate  contains  litter,  earth  worm  and  cow  dung.  May  be  there  is  a  mistake.

 Sreeram,

Where  did  you  get  this  varity  of  Glosso,  never  seen  it  before.

One  more  thing,  indeed  a  personal  query,

I  managed  to  get  almost  died  a  little  bunch  of  hair  grass  from  LFS,
I  could  not  keep  that  in  the  tank  as  It  seemed  to  weak  to  handle  the
tortures  of  fishes,  hence  I  have  cut  the  lower  half  of  a  1.5L  pepsi  bottle  and
put  some  substrate  in  that  to  keep  the  plant.  for  last  2  days  I  kept  it  beside  window,  and  today  after  returning  home  I  saw  good  number  of  green  new  leaves.  I  know  they  will  not  become  stronger  until  a  proper  supply  of  co2  is
provided.  How  do  u  think  I  should  provide  co2  to  that  container.  can  it  be
in  any  other  form  Like  NaHCO3  which  the  plant  might  source  the  required  co2  from  ??

 Tirtha,

As  imagined-  its  better  you  edit  the  1st  post  and  remove  the  cow  part  Chuckle  ,  quite  misleading  already.
Also  cram  in  the  filteration  part.

 Cheers!

 Hi  Friends,
I  am  new  to  this  hobby,  for  this  reason  I  use  to  read  the  topics  for  my  knowledge.  But   SORRY  TO  SAY  that  there  are  confusions  in  the  "POST",

At  first  it  was  said  that-   Substrate:  DIY  Mix  (Contains  leaf  litters,  earth  worms  and  cowdung  in  it)

But  after  few  posts  It  Says  -

sreeram  wrote  (View  Post):
please  don't  use  cow  dung  .there  is  no  cow  dung  inside  my  setup

Please  give  the  correct  information......  Thank  you.

Hey  sreeram,  why  running  around  the  bush  when  you  dont  want  to  be  helpful.  Say  it  out,  no  one  will  bother  to  ask  you  again...
I  remember  you  saying  4  different  weird  combinations  whenever  I  asked  you,  I  remember  that  well.  The  last  combo  you  told  when  we  visited  you  was  algae,  worm  castings,  cow  dung,  soil  all  baked  together  evenly  in  an  earth  oven.  There  are  atleast  four  people  to  confirm  on  that,  and  no  point  about  misunderstandings.

And  guys...theoretically  any  substrate  rich  in  various  organic  compounds(like  humus,  leaf  litter,  worm  castings,  etc)  is  known  to  leach  out  various  nutrients(including  CO2)  consistently  for  about  a  year  or  two.
If  you  are  keen  trying  it  out,  get  a  spare  tank  and  experiment  it  yourself  with  different  combinations,  thats  what  Sreeram  is  doing  in  half  a  dozen  different  setups.
