If  budget  permits  go  for  a  Canister  Filter  ,  else  a  HOB  and  Internal  Filter  combo,  Thanks.

IMO  canister  would  be  the  best  among  all  the  filters.  But  lokking  at  budget  top  filter  is  the  second  best  filter.  And  the  'dolphin'  company  would  be  the  best

hi..i'm  not  really  flower  horn  crazy  but  this  is  the  basic  thing..  you  could  aim  for  a  10X  turnover  or  a  minimum  7X..  say  your  tank  is  4X2X2  then  it  will  hold  close  to  450  liters  of  water  to  the  brim..  so  aim  for  a  turn  over  of  3150  lph  to  4500  lph..  there  are  so  many  options..  and  all  this  depends  on  your  budget  and  what  sort  of  setup  you  will  be  comfortable  with..  my  suggestion  would  be  for  you  to  hook  on  2  external  canisters  for  now  and  prob  add  one  more  later..  but  the  main  thing  to  look  out  for  is  the  turnover  you  can  get  in  an  hour..

how  big  is  your  flower  horn  now?  I'm  sure  you  don't  plan  on  housing  the  fish  in  this  tank  for  ever..  you  might  as  well  get  a  larger  tank  when  you  have  the  chance..  cheers
