 @Mudassir

 he  just  told  me  today.  glad  to  hear  it.  i  will  meet  him  next  month  and  give  him  my  micro  tubifex,  which  he  will  culture  and  send  you  also.  Is  that  ok?  can  you  also  send  some  grindals  to  him?  He  also  has  fairy  shrimp  eggs  that  he  can  send  u  along  with  the  tubifex   Very Happy  Fair  enough,  i  think.

 i  have  not  been  able  to  take  a  good  photo  of  the  tubifex,  they  just  show  as  red  blobs!  i  need  a  better  camera  perhaps??   Sad  it  was  easier  to  photograph  white  worms  but  these  are  red,  a  tubifex  red.

 mudassir,  do  u  know  a  person  in  delhi  who  is  going  to  hyderabad?  the  tubifex  need  to  be  in  water  and  might  not  surive  in  an  airtight  container,  so  someone  taking  them  is  better  than  sealing  them  in  a  bottle  and  couriering  it.

 @mcgokul,

 are  u  asking  how  i  got  grindals  or  how  i  got  micro  tubifex??   Smile  u  know  the  grindal  story.  made  a  thread  about  it  in  2008.  but  those  grindals  were  cool  temp  types  because  they  do  expire  in  summers!  hehe.  i  got  the  'international'  version  from  gurpreet  in  delhi  who,  since  then,  has  given  up  on  live  food!

 luckily,  this  time  i  have  waited  for  over  a  year  before  passing  on  my  new  discovery.  these  micro  tubifex  do  just  fine  in  summers,  even  though  the  water  and  food  goes  stale  quickly  and  needs  to  be  changed  once  in  two  days.  but  that  is  it!

 My  neon  tetras  are  doing  very  well  on  them,  angels,  barbs,  synodontis  eupterus,  all  gorge  on  them.  but  the  big  fish  like  to  eat  them  in  large  masses  (they  cant  see  a  single  worm  easily   Very Happy  ),  so  i  feed  them  worm  'balls'  with  tweezers.

 @mudassir
 here  is  probably  the  worst  tubifex  worm  video  ever  made  on  youtube.  if  u  look  carefully,  u  can  see  the  worms  swaying  in  the  water  in  a  typical  tubifex  worm  swaying  motion  (they  are  filter  feeders  and  catch  microscopic  food  in  the  water  by  swaying  and  absorbing  via  skin).   apologies  for  the  quality,  folks!  But,  something  is  bettter  than  nothing  right?

 @alll  live  food  worm  food  enthusiasts

 i  have  used  these  for  over  a  year  and  i  will  never  need  to  buy  regular  live  tubifex  from  a  shop  again!  Here  is  a  pic  of  my  neons  taking  a  bite.

 please  remove  the  dot  at  the  end  of  the  first  pic  URL.

 i  don't  remember  what  u  need  to  to  make  the  pics  appear  instead  of  the  links  to  them.  if  any  of  u  can  remind  me,  i  will  appreciate  it!
