Anyone  knows  of  a  good  health  breeder  of  Oscars  in  Mumbai?  I  want  to  buy  some  Copper  Red  Oscars.  You  can  call  me  on  9619981938.  I  am  looking  to  buy  around  4-5  inch  size.

 Thanks

I  don't  know  any  oscar  breeders,  but  remember  seeing  almost  2  dozen  1.5"  copper  reds  in  Utekar's  lot  in  Borivali  about  a  week  back.
I'll  give  you  a  confirmation  tommorrow  evening  after  my  fortnightly  visit..

Brother  Naresham,  the  aquarium  trade  is  full  of  cheaters.  The  stockists  and  importers  get  cheated  by  the  breeders,  who  in  turn  try  to  cheat  the  lfs  guys,  who  in  turn  try  to  cheat  the  hobbyists.  But  only  those  guys  get  cheated  who  are  under  the  misconception  that  the  dealer  is  an  expert.  If  you  are  well  informed  and  know  what  you  want,  you  can  get  the  best  deal  out  of  the  biggest  thug.  What  we  need  to  do  is  do  plenty  of  research  beforehand  and  use  our  own  brain.

Cheat  or  not,  what  matters  is  that  uteker  is  the  biggest  stockist  in  this  part  of  town  and  has  the  greatest  variety  of  fish  available  here.

So  if  he  has  non-dyed  genuine  copper  red  oscars  available  at  a  good  price,  do  I  inform  you  or  not?

Back  from  Utekar's.  Shop  was  closed  due  to  Ganesh  Immersion.  New  shop  still  not  functional.

However,  there  were  some  1"  -  2"  red  oscars,  both  coppers  and  tigers,  in  a  neighbouring  lfs.

 But  they  seemed  very  lethargic.

So  true  brother.  Aquarium  trade  is  full  of  cheats.  Especially  the  LFS  guys.  But  still  we  have  to  handle  them  for  our  own  needs
