@  Adip,  Yes,  That  would  be  better,  But  the  lights  are  connected  to  a  timer  which  controls  the  lights  on  other  tanks  and  i  cant  be  bothered  to  switch  the  light  ON  and  OFF  myself.

No  idea  where  Contro  is  available  in  Mumbai,  Glad  the  Journals  are  of  help.

 Hey  All

An  update  on  this  tank  after  a  loooong  time.  Got  too  busy  with  things  and  this  tank  suffered  during  that  time,  Flooded  the  tank  a  couple  of  weeks  ago,  But  the  heavy  lighting  and  no  co2  caused  severe  algae  issues.  As  of  yesterday  have  been  able  to  bring  this  tank  back  on  track.

 Updated  Specifications  of  the  tank

 Tank           :  18x18x15(H)  Inches

 Lighting     :  2x36W  PLL

 Filteration:  1000L/H  HOB

Substrate  :  ControSoil  (4mm)  at  the  base  and   ControSoil  (2mm)  on  top

Hardscape:  Seasoned  Driftwood  and  ADA  Yamaya  Stone

 CO2              :  Pressurized

 Dosing        :

As  of  now  Seachem  Flourish  Excel  and  Seachem  Flourish  Potassium  and  once  established  Seachem  Flourish  Nitrogen,  Seachem  Flourish  Phosphorus  and  Seachem  Flourish  Trace  will  be  included.

 Flora            :

 hemianthus  callitrichoides  'cuba'
 hydrocotyle  sibthorpioides
 pogostemon  helferi
 eleocharis  parvula
 pogostemon  erectus

 Fauna         :  Not  yet  decided.

And  the  picture  of  the  tank  as  of  today

The  scape  will  look  more  natural  if  you  bring  down  the  water  level  such  that  the  cut  end  of  the  stump  is  above  the  water  level.

That  was  the  idea  but  dropping  the  water  level  any  further  will  cause  the  HOB  outflow  to  act  like  a  waterfall  hitting  the  substrate  below.  Will  probably  cover  that  top  with  moss  at  a  later  stage.

As  it  is,  you  have  done  your  bit  by  trying  to  elevate  the  base.  Great  work  at  that.   Cheer   Cheer   Cheer   Cheer   Cheer
