 Hai,

Have  setup  a  new  cichlid  tank  which  is  in  the  size  of  36"  x  12"  x  18".  White  sand.  Added  some  cabamba  and  an  1  foot  drift  wood.  Filteration  is  100Lit/H  top  filter.
 At  present  I  have
     3  Red  Jewel
     3  Blue  Neon  Jewel
and  planning  to  add  4  GT.  They  are  2"  (TL)  each.  Wish  to  know  all  these  are  compatable  with  each  other  and  also  like  to  know  what  other  cichlids  can  be  added  along  with  them?

 Hi,

 1.  Pls  remove  the  cabamba  as  your  Jewels  would  destroy  and  wouldn't  like  them  in  the  tank.
 2.    3  Red  Jewel,  3  Blue  Cichlid,  planning  to  add  4  GT  is  too  much  for  a  33  gallon  tank  of  yours.
 3.  Jewel  cichlids  are  very  agressive  so  would  be  the  GTs  as  well.  I'm  afraid  if  you  may  loose  some  of  them  (as  there  is  gonna  be  severe  fight  amongst  them).  Mad    Punch
 4.  Pls  don't  add  any  more  fishes  as  there  are  already  enough  number  of  them  in  the  tank.
 5.  would  suggest  stick  only  with  the  Jewels  as  they  are  gr8  fishes  and  would  definitely  outgrow  the  tank,  if  at  all  they  go  along....

 All  the  best!!!

 Cheers!

ok....Suggest  have  only  jewels  and  given  them  a  lot  of  hiding  spaces  with  good  filtration.

you  have  3  pairs  of  3  pieces?
If  you  have  3  pieces  you  sure  can  add  some  more  fish.Green  terror  is  a  great  fish  but  comes  from  a  different  part  of  the  world  than  the  jewels  and  your  neon  cichlid  (iam  thinking  they  are  blue  morphs  a  pic  might  help)
It  would  be  a  risk  adding  green  terrors  because  they  grow  far  bigger  than  jewels.
Why  dont  you  add  some  yellow  labs?they  would  look  great  in  yur  tank.

 Ajai...

are  you  trying  to  setup  a  chichlid  community??

Why  don't  you  go  for  blue  morphs  and  yellow  labs??

Even  then,  I  think  you  need  to  give  them  proper  hiding  places.......

 Hi  Ajai,
One  of  the  most  important  things  with  cichlids  is
 1)  the  sex  ratio,  try  to  keep  only  one  male  and  several  females,
 2)  also  space  available  for  their  teritory(bigger  the  better)
 3)  try  to  grow  the  colony  from  juvi's

Yup  that's  right,  You  should  give  away  (sell/exchange)  the  males  if  you  have  more  than  one.
