I dunno whether it was a collection trip or not, i went to get drift wood and stones and loaches, but got some crazy fish, which i ve left in my lotus pond, since my tankmates werent too Happy with them in the tank :D
any one help in ID'ing the fish.
HAs a maroon tail.
a cichlid :o
The dude who helped me in catching the fish, and as well tried to empty my pocket
These ppl eat fish which they get here!

dunno which one though, has a maroonish tail, thought it was a Green terror, with maroon tail
got two of these kind.

and forgot to mention, the fishes are well over 9-10 inches.

Most probably yes. I dont see why that fish wont attain its natural colors.
Its pale now because of stress. Look at where it was living before you caught it, and where it is now. If you provide the right parameters then it will definately regain its original colors.  |

THen i gotta add some muddy water to my tank/pond :p
Lets see, ive kept in my pond.
One was out of water for like 10 mins , cuz they had caught it for eating, its almost dead thought its still breathing(gills moving) eyes are cloudy and pale body. |

dude I didnt mean add muddy water, just subdued lighting will do for that. Check the other parameters. |

Nikhil,
If you are looking for natives, you have to try the river. The irrigation canals and streams are full of tilapia. If you are lucky, you might get a snakehead in those streams.
Think we need another month for water level to reduce a bit and water to get a bit clear. |
