Hi  Raju,  When  you  are  buying  from  Rez  Bazar  always  try  to  give  priority  to  fish  health...price  will  be  more  or  less  same  as  asked  by  other  LFS...but  sure  health  wont  be  same  as  others...

All  fishes  what  you  are  planning,  will  be  available  with  almost  all  shops  at  Rezbazar...but  not  sure  about  Green  Terror...

Big  convicts  available  with  Philips  and  Fire  mouth  with  Vyas...

 Hi  Raju,

How  big  is  your  tank.  Your  tank  might  end  up  being  a  war  zone  if  not  planned  properly.  Also  if  its  a  new  tank  don't  overload  it  in  a  single  day.

 Good  luck!!
 Ganesh

@Ganesh:  the  tank  specs  are  4ft*1.5ft*1.5ft.
Actually  the  tank  has  been  cycling  with  2  angels,  2guppies  and  a  goldfish  for  the  last  thee  weeks.  And  I  have  put  4  clay  pots  and  a  large  cave  for  the  cichlids  to  hide  and  two  broken  pots  for  the  BGK's.
To  prevent  the  more  aggressive  GT  and  texas  from  breeding  I  am  planning  to  keep  only  one  males  of  these  speceis  and  no  females.

 Hi  Venkat,

It  does  not  take  long  for  a  fight  to  break  out  even  it's  just  an  all  males  tank.  My  texas  is  capable  of  chasing  and  finding  his  foe  out  of  every  possible  hiding  place.  Finally  I  have  now  dedicated  my  5  foot  tank  to  my  pair  of  texas  for  the  last  one  year.

Also  if  you  want  peace  of  mind  keep  the  bio-load  at  a  level  lower  than  the  recommended  level.  As  Muda  suggested  start  a  new  thread  and  post  details  of  your  tank  with  other  specss  like  filtration,  substrate.  Also  do  post  a  picture  of  your  current  setup.

 Good  luck!!
 Ganesh

@Ganesh:  Actually  I  started  a  thready  to  know  the  compatability  of  these  species  and  came  to  know  that  this  combination  can  work.  But  I  will  go  with  your  advise  and  not  go  for  a  Texas.

Posted  in  this  thread  to  know  the  availability  of  these  species  and  if  possible  their  prices.

 Link  to  the  thread:  http://indianaquariumhobbyist.com/community/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=26611&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Inorder  to  prevent  an  all  out  war,  I  am  not  introducing  any  adult  fish,  I  am  planning  to  introduce  juveniles  of  around  1.5  to  2  inch,  all  at  the  same  time.

Filteration  is  by  a  Taiyo  internal  power  filter  with  flow  rate  a  little  over  1400LPH.  Modified  it  by  Replacing  the  filter  sponge  with  ordinary  cleaning  sponge  which  hase  smaller  pore  size  and  added  a  good  amount  of  nylon  Scrub  pad  to  reduce  flow  rate  and  increase  surface  area.  Directed  the  flow  of  the  filter  into  a  pot  to  reduce  its  force  and  planning  to  add  bio  bolls  or  ceramic  rings  to  increase  bio  filetration.

The  substrate  is  one  layer  of  large  river  pebbles  or  around  2inch  covered  by  polished  marble  pebbles  of  around  1cm  Dia.  Placed  large  river  rocks  and  granite  stones  to  create  some  landscape  and  a  large  cave.
Planned  on  this  substrate  as  syphoning  of  waste  will  be  much  easier.  made  sure  that  there  are  no  stones  with  sharp  edges  as  they  can  cause  injury  to  the  fishes  whey  they  try  to  move  them  around.

Finally  going  for  the  following  combination:
 2  Oscars
 2  BGK
 2  Firemouths
 2-4  Convicts
 1  Green  Terror  Male

and  planning  for  some  dither  fish  like  tin  foil  barbs  or  silver  dollars.

please  inform  if  any  other  compatible  species  can  be  added  to  the  above  combination.

I  think  the  two  oscars,  when  fully  grown  will  be  more  than  enough  for  your  tank.and  they  do  grow  fast.be  prepared  to  give  away  some  of  the  fishes  as  they  grow.
also  make  sure  the  tank  has  lots  of  hiding  places  for  the  BGKs,  when  keeping  BGKs  with  cichlids, there  is  always  a  chance  that  their  tails  get  bitten.need  narrow  hiding  places  for  them  where  they  can  retreat  .
 all  the  best.

 dude,
 SO  many  FISHES?!   Surprised

 to  be  precise,  14  ?
Your  tank  is  like  69  Gallons,  It  itself  is  Very  small  for  2  Oscars.
Oscars  grow  like  almost  1.5  inches  per  month.
In  my  6  Footer  itself,  1Oscar  seems  conjested,  and  i  had  a  GT,1  Oscar,  and  2  Tinfoil  Barbs,  2  texas,  2  Yellow  Morphs  ONLY,  and  finally  the  yellow  morphs  killed  the  2  texas  and  my  beautiful  GT!  now  i  removed  almost  everything.
U  will  lose  many  fishes  with  territorial  issues  as  fishes  grow.  Sad   i  bet  you  on  that,  and  the  setup  u  have  ,  has  just  multiple  number  of  pots, more  rocky  caves  would  help  you!  as  far  i  have  experience,Neither  the  GT,nor  texas, nor  the  oscar  use  the  Pot  :/

 the  best  beg  is
2  (if  u  really  want)  or  1  Oscar  (albino,  and  red  ones  are  nice)
 1  GT
maybe  1  texas  and  1  parrot  or  somethign  like  that,  would  be  fine,  for  a  few  months

@Nick:  Having  a  GT  and  Texas  might  be  a  bad  idea  for  a  tank  of  this  size  is  what  was  recommended  before.
I  dont  think  I  will  be  having  problems  with  firemouths,  oscars  and  sevrumns  as  they  are  relatively  peaceful.  I'm  more  worried  about  the  convicts  as  one  of  them  is  trying  to  bite  the  fins  of  all  other  fishes.

@Hrishi:  I  have  given  the  BGK's  plenty  of  hiding  spots  in  between  the  rocks  and  had  also  put  2  PVC  pipes  for  good  measure.

Right  now  I  am  having  a  problem  with  the  oscars  as  they  are  suffering  from  ICK  and  one  of  them  stopped  eating  from  yesterday.  I  have  raised  the  temperature  to  around  30-31.
