Please  view  the  link  below  and  read  the  article!
I  found  it  to  be  interesting  to  discuss  as  many  marine  aquarists  fight  a  lost  battle  against  the  dreaded  'Marine  Ich'  and  loose  precious  live  stock  Sad
 Hyposalinity

Ich  in  My  experience  gets  a  foot  hold  first  with  Ammonia,  it's  a  horrible  thing  with  freshwater  tanks,  with  Marine  tanks  a  huge  headache.

Dosing,  temparature,  waterchanges......,  better  not  let  conditions  deteriorate  in  the  first  place.  Be  careful  when  adding  new  livestock.

I  have  given  up  with  controlling  an  ich  attack  in  my  planted  tank,  I  just  let  nature  take  it's  course.  I  haven't  had  to  cope  with  ich  in  a  long  time  though.

I  provided  the  links  here  because  -  I  was  able  to  treat  my  marine  fish  effectively  without  much  of  medication  -  'twice'!  following  the  treatment  method  of  hyposalinity  and  only  lost  a  single  fish  in  a  two  time  battle  with  the  'ich'
Thought  it  might  be  useful  to  all  marine  enthusiasts  on  IAH!
Madan,  I  well  understand  the  catestrophy  of  'Ich  -  infestation'  in  a  garden  tank  or  a  well  planted  tank    Crying or Very sad  I  face  the  same  threat  in  my  reef  (God  forbid)  Sad  ..........can't  even  think  of  it    No Way

Does  the  substrate  absorb  the  medicine  while  the  display  tank  is  treated    with  medicine  .
