 hi  all  thanks  a  lot  for  the  comments.
 Kedar  was  a  client  to  start  off  with  but  became  a  dear  friend  as  and  when  the  tank  progressed,
 I  met  him  in  feb  and  started  off  maintaining  his  tank...the  tank  itself  was  oddly  propotioned...4  by  18  by  3  and  that  was  where  the  challenge  to  setup  the  tank  stood.the  height  of  this  tank  was  both  a  boon  and  a  curse.the  seeds  to  make  an  amazon  theme  tank  were  sown  in  march  and  we  started  collecting  wood  for  it...and  finally  it  all  came  together  last  sunday..kedar  has  been  one  of  my  easiest  clients  and  probably  the  best  to  work  with  as  he  gave  me  a  free  hand  in  every  possible  way  and  kept  faith  in  me  even  when  the  first  draft  of  the  tank  was  not  upto  the  mark.
 i  always  wanted  leaf  scatter  as  i  had  discussed  with  him  but  it  would  be  difficult  to  replace  the  leaves  as  the  tank  is  3  foot  high.
 we  will  start  with  angels  and  tetras  and  hopefully  down  the  line  move  to  wild  caught  angels  or  discus.at  the  moment  the  concentration  is  fine  tuning  it  a  little  and  getting  the  cleaning  crew  in  as  soon  as  possible.Some  adjustments  need  to  be  made  to  the  filteration  as  well  which  will  be  done  soon.
   this  tank  would  not  have  been  possible  if  the  client  was  not  like  kedar!
 Hamza

 @Sam
 The  tank  has  a  custom  hood  that  was  created  when  the  tank  was  built.  However,  the  darkness  is  due  to  a  black  background  that  we  are  using  for  the  tank  The  entire  idea   was  to  give  the  tank  some  more  depth  by  using  the  black  background  and  with  some  clever  light  angles  create  those  dark  and  bright  areas  within  the  tank.

 That's  a  pretty  huge  numbers  of  driftwood  in  the  tank.  Looks  very  nice  with  the  driftwood  arrangement.  Fishes  swimming  inbetween  the  driftwood  give  a  lovely  sight.

 Woods  making  a  perfect  bio-type  model.  Are  the  woods  still  leaching  tannins?  Or  is  it  completely  cured?

 I  would  love  Discus  swimming  around  the  drfitwood  branches...   Thumb Up

 @josyjames  Thanks  for  your  comments!  The  wood  has  been  soaking  for  a  few  months  now  (before  it  went  into  the  tank),  and  so  its  not  really  leaching  a  lot.  It  does  have  some  sap  type  whitish  stuff  coming  out  which  we  hope  will  be  good  for  the  algae  eaters  once  we  get  them  in.

 @abhis9
 Well  toomanyfish  would  love  to  see  discus  in  there  as  well,  but  for  now  I  would  like  to  see  some  carindals  and  rummies  and  some  angels  in  there.  Maybe  a  year  down  the  line  we  definitely  plan  to  move  it  to  discus.  (Again  this  just  my  apprehesions  about  having  such  an  expensive  fish  in  my  hands,  its  just  been  a  year  and  half  that  I  have  been  into  keeping  fish,  hence  would  like  to  step  it  up  one  level  at  a  time!)   Smile

 the  brown  water  in  the  tank  is  given  by  simply  using  two  philips  2  foot  yellow  lights...the  wood  is  not  leaching  any  tannins.there  are  over  25  pieces  of  wood  in  the  tank  i  think  till  the  end  we  lost  track  of  how  much  wood  we  had  used.but  i  firmly  believe  that  if  wood  used  so  densely  looks  nice  scattered  wood  in  my  opinion  is  just  not  worth  it.
 it  was  difficult  finding  just  the  right  pieces  of  wood  for  this  tank  because  of  the  height.but  i  guess  its  all  come  together  and  seems  worth  the  effort.
