Trevor can you please elaborate on the tape worm discussion?,

The tape worm discussion cannot be posted in a public forum lest it scandalizes the tender hearted upright members.

True Arvind
To continue......
After Chitradurga we made a pit stop near a Tea stall. Cruising along the Bangalore-Pune NH-4 Trevor was musing that we should have called the Pune guys. Especially Alpha91(Shubhankar). Reaching Dharwad at 2.00pm we made a decision to go to Dhandeli. "Discovering" the road to Dhandeli was another adventure. By now our stomach was growling with hunger. Coming across a small shack Trevor decided to have Lunch there. Asking us not to get out of the car, he ventured out to make what he called a Food recce Every thing being to his satisfaction, he gave his typical call in his booming voice " Come re.....come fast".

Nayak sir everday I would see him while I used to pass by his home, by hearing that he is no more i could not believe. Sir now also when I pass by his sister's house I see his car standing outside. Can't forget him and his posting and the red lettered name in IAH. |

Trevor was logged into IAH and life till the last moment! I will always cherish the moments spent in his company.
There were so many things that we talked about on the long journey to Belgaum and so much of it had to do with IAH.
The community will always remember and honor his contribution to the hobby. |

Nayak.... your pictures are so alive that they made me disbelief one more time that he is not among us anymore. Never meet him but he was always there in my fishy journey from the very first day. Everyday I still log into facebook expecting some more farmville invites and gifts from him.
He is still with us and he will be.... |

The news was a worst live update, I could ever expect on this thread!
Agree with Beta about Trevor's attachment towards IAH. Always guided team of us Mods whenever required, either written or straight-forward telephonic conversation. I also remember Trevor as a proud Bangalorean and always followed his posts with humorous touch.
Trevor is still with us on IAH in form of his beautiful posts. |

| My first collection trip is vivid in my mind. Was traveling with the great man. For the entire journey I peppered him with newby questions, and he answered to them all patiently. No airs about him. He's touched many lives with his irrepressible, friendly personality. Never a dull moment with him. Will miss you friend but you will be fresh in our minds. |

The stop after Chitragurga. Nayak, his navigator and the Marina - deadly trio!
The super roads Trevor mentioned.
Downpour on the way after Dharwad. Everything cleared up by the time we took out the nets.
The Turn to Dhandeli.
The shack Trevor discovered. He had his last meal here. Awesome chicken curry, egg curry and chapati.
I guess Trevor would have wanted thing to finally end up on a day like that - fishing, awesome meal, with friends, logged in to IAH, pranks all day long...
He can't go anywhere. He will be there on all the trips we go. Everytime something happens there would be someone to exclaim how Trevor would have laughed at that situtaion, I know what to say when I get a humongous idli on my plate, or what to do when Preetam feels sleepy while driving...
Those of us who were there cannot forget his last words..."Hey Nayak....gimme the pics to post re....". He was, is and always will be the godfather of the IAH community...His posts will always bring a smile to our faces...
The trip Trevor could not complete will be completed...He would want us to...till then this thread will be incomplete... |

Guya I know this is too old a thread that Iam replying to.
I used to follow his posts and threads.
looking at this pics and reading all the posts became nostalgic.
We all know that there will not be another TREVOR. I hope some one senior in IAH will rise up to his expectations or his stature and guide all of us.

| Fishchasers at it again. Two years down the line we are back at the hotel Trevor wanted to put up in. Day 1, six species and another 3 days to go. Will keep posted whenever possible as Nayak's legendary laptop which logged almost every live update we did till date has gone kaput. |

@Ramdas,
Trevor would have said - There are lot of places to explore in Maharashtra. All you have to do is pick up the nets and get out. :)
@Abhilash -
Yes, was hoping to get it earlier so that it could be tested on field. Overall, pretty satisfied with the quality. Thank you.
Now waiting for the update from the chasers.... |
