aren't you going to cover tank with something probably a glass top or maybe some cling film used for covering food kept in refrigerators, this would hold in the moisture required to grow plants emersed

The scape is not even close to an Iwagumi kind of setup.
Not sure why other think its a good start.
Please read up on the scape and change the rocks which will help you get the desired results.
Its a nice tank and the substrate and plant selection is good.
Hence, look into buying/using rocks with good characture and size to make this a tank to die for.
Regards,
Surya |

all the three rocks almost gonna covered by plants soon, guess its better to get taller rocks, which should look as rock / hillock than a mere stone
Btw |

Harish
Just using rocks in a scape does not make it an Iwagumi ........ Please go through the link below ........... Understand what Iwagumi is and then would suggest to get the right rocks, Also i hope you plan to have a Pressurized CO2 system in place when you flood the tank, The plants would need extremely high CO2. Thanks.

The rocks are not the right kind for iwagumi setup
on a standalone basis they look good. can use lot of them to create caves for a chichlid tanks. |

You are from Bangalore Man, city has a good number of scaper, for rocks, just get in touch with them.
Regarding Iwagumi rocks selection which I understand is you need rocks with sharp edges, but note that edges should not be so sharp that it looks unnatural. You will get a lot of journals on Iwagumi, just get the feel of those tank. All the Best. |

I would still say thats quite a good start, with every equipment in place. I hope you have decided on filteration and CO2 as well.
Now coming to the scape-
If you just change the subject to "mougli's planted tank- Emmersed" instead of Iwagumi, you should have no issues.
Perhaps apart from the two rocks all would get covered, but you never know if you are setting a new trend
Even with your present rocks/cobbles you can make an immensly attractive scape, just that you should place them better. For that just go through some images on google for planted tanks and you should be well off |
