mine had melted twice. once bad light and another for bad water quality. what is the size of your tank? what other plants do you keep?
try to protect the rhizome. it will come again. |

Hi pranavarika
Anubias in my exp can melt for any of the undermentioned reasons
1 if it is planted in the substrate directly ( as I did many years ago )
2 if the wood or stone on which is planted is near the bottom and not getting flow of water on it, rather the water is nonmoving around it's roots
3 sometimes even when the water quality is poor in which case I think it would be better to change the water partially over a few days
Regards and do contemplate what may have gone wrong

one of my anubia plant had also melted , had tied it on a driftwood, i suspect the driftwood, because later when i tied moss over the driftwood the moss also went bad and was not growning well. Its sort of jet blacck type driftwood. Your driftwood could also be a possibility.
i still have the leaves and roots of my anubia coffefolia(spelling did i get it right, ), they are doing good, the roots are growing , its under test , i am hoping that it will grow a stem one day .
Regards

Nope....... Anubias will not throw out new leaves without the Rhizome. On a prior topic someone had mentioned that their anubias did sprout new leaves even when the Rhizome was fully gone. Hard to see that happen usually...... Buy a new plant. |
