@ Muddassar,
Thanks.. Have you done the hood for your tank? You were planning for one for your tank...
@ Sushant,
Thanks... Had planned to participate in the all India competition. So cannot post the FTS of the tank.
@ Prashanta, Srab, Ramdas,
Thanks..
@ GatorX, Ashwin,
Thanks for the comments. You can do it by heating the acrylic sheet (Hot air gun or Hot wire method)
@ Sharath,
Thanks for the comments. That's the suspension cable used for the lights. The height can be easily adjusted by pressing a button in it. |

Great work Shelly .. Every time I see your DIY stuffs, it triggers a spark for me to do some DIY things for my tanks..
I'll see whether I can succeed this time ..
A few questions from my side.
1. What is that black material which you used?
2. What do you call that hanging wire?
3. What have you used to give support to support to PLLs on the other side??
Thanks, |

@ Thuds
The ballast can run 2 x 55Watts PLL or 2 x 54Watts T5HO. So two ballast is sufficient to run 4 PLL's.
@ nandy,
To answer your questions:
1. What is that black material which you used?
Shelly: Acrylic Sheet - 5mm sheet
2. What do you call that hanging wire?
Shelly: Light suspension cable
3. What have you used to give support to support to PLLs on the other side??
Shelly: Metal clamps meant for holding PLL's. You even get it in plastic. I was able to get only the metal clamps.
@ imrandayatar
Thanks. As I have planned to participate in the all India competition, I cannot post the FTS (One off the conditions of the competition). |

Thanks a ton Shelly..
Overall Its a excellent neat work
All the best for competition..
If you cover the inner surface of acrylic sheet with a shining sheet (reflective material), I think you can get more brightness.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.. |
