Yes.  I  usually  use  the  reflectors  when  I  make  hood.  This  time,  I  didnt  get  time  to  buy  it.  I  would  be  using  them  after  some  time.

Previous  hood  which  I  had  done  for  my  sisters  tank  3  Feet  Acrylic  Hood.

I  would  use  the  same  reflector  in  my  hood  too...

 @  Srab,

Its  the  reflector  that  is  used  in  the  light  fixtures  (T5  and  T12  tubes).  Usually  seen  in  the  office  lighting's.

 @  omkar,  Abhishek,  Dennis,

 Thanks  for  the  comments...

 @  Sharath,

The  reflector  is  metal.  It  would  be  an  aluminum  sheet  and  coated  with  the  reflector  material  (silver  coating).  You  can  even  try  glass  mirror.  You  get  2  -  3mm  glass  mirror  from  the  photo  framing  shop.  Since  less  thick,  less  weight.  Hence  you  can  lay  it  inside  the  hood.

There  is  no  particular  name.  Basically  reflector.  You  get  one  more  type  of  reflector.  It  is  white  color  sheet.  Power  coated  aluminum  or  metal  sheet.  But  silver  coated  would  have  more  reflection.
