 Hi  Friends,
I  set  up  CO2  set  up  yesterday  morning.  Today  morning  when  I  woke  up  I  found  my  cylinder  empty  and  few  fishes  died.
When  I  set  up  co2  kit  to  2  BPS  it  was  not  constant  it  was  keep  on  decreasing  after  half  an  hour  so  I  kep  up  doing  it  to  2  BPS  till  evening  as  I  thought  there  was  not  enough  pressure.
And  at  evening  it  got  somehow  stable  giving  2  BPS.
My  CO2  Kit  details  as  folows:

 1  Kg  Co2  Cylinder
 Manual  Regulator  (made  in  China)
 Ocean  free  Co2  diffuser  (ladder)

Experts  please  advice  as  I  am  going  to  do  another  try  in  this  week.

Does  your  Co2  kit  contains  a  needle  valve?
Regulator,  is  it  a  gauged  regulator  or  a  simple  threaded  regulator?

This  problem  is  due  to  faulty  regulator.
It  is  better  that  you  get  a  good  branded  Indian  regulator.

As  Nandy  pointed.  You  have  not  mentioned  about  needle  valve.  Are  you  using  one  ?  As  without  needle  valve  you  cannot  stabilize  the  bps.

Well  Hemesh  in  that  case  I  guess  we  can  conclude  the  reason  why  this  disaster  happened.  The  regulator  only  helps  in  taming  the  direct  pressure  from  the  cylinder  not  precising  it.   I  am  also  using  the  same  brand  regulator  in  a  5kg  cylinder  and  so  far  the  bubbles  are  very  precised  with  the  help  of  needle  valve.  Get  yourself  one,  am  sure  you  wont  be  disappointed  again.   Thumb Up

 +1  Ruchit.
Get  a  branded  needle  valve,  refill  your  Co2  cylinder.  That  should  solve  your  problem.  Thumb Up

I  hope  you  are  using  a  regulator  meant  for  Co2  gas,  the  regulators  given  in  this  link  are  for  O2,  lpg  &  acetlyene.
A  needle  value  can  reduce  further  pressure  and  is  used  for  fine  tuning  of  co2  pressure,  however  if  the  pressure  is  not  stable  from  regulator  the  needle  will  not  work  properly.
The  output  of  regulator  should  be  stable  whether  it  is  4  bps  or  50  bps,  if  the  output  is  changing  it  means  the  regulator  is  malfunctioning,  and  needs  to  be  replaced.
You  can  also  get  it  repaired  but  that  is  not  advised.

As  Ruchit  stated  above,  he  is  using  same  for  his  5KG  set  up  so  I  guess  this  may  work  for  co2.
Can  you  tell  me  why  it's  not  advisable  to  get  it  repaired  becasuse  replacement  I   guess  not  possible  as  it's  made  in  China.

Hemesh  I  am  using  Yamato  CO2  regulator...  I  believe  you  are  using  the  same  otherwise  it  wont  fit  in  your  Co2  cylinder.
