@conooranand
Good to see a response finally
i have a cold today!
As soon as i recover my sense of smell i will report back, bro.
@hrishi
It is definitely not cardamine, bro. i have that plant too, and it is way more thick and vigourous. The friend who gave it to me, also thought it was like cardamine, but it isnt. so far, i suspect some kind of Bacopa... |

Well if its not Creeping Jennny let us know when you have an ID of the plant so that we guys don't mistake it for the creeping jenny the next time.
Good you have pages stored in your plants folder.
I use the internet. |

i am glad to hear you use the internet. I thought that was understood The pics stored in my plant photos folder are ALL from the internet, i have nowhere else to find them unlike you apparently.
Why? Because every time you type the same name after a fortnight, different pictures come up. The net is constantly changing, growing, mutating, websites appearing and then being replaced. so you cannot hope to have the exact SAME pic come up when u type anything in particular. At least not on the same page or position. ... i hope u see my point.
I crushed the leaf as suggested, and it had a faint minty smell. i tasted it also (hehe), thinkng i might as well since i havent heard about poisonous leaves (stems yes, of H balsamica, when cut fresh)...and it had a faint minty taste..
And now... for the outcome of this thread, for your inputs on which i am thankful. the plant this thread was made for is in fact a variety of the ancient Indian herb that is a such a potent memory enhancer, it is connected with Brahma Himself ( and named Brahmi) :-
BACOPA MONNIERI!!!
The reason i was not able to recognise it was because this variety i have now has rather wavy leaves, not the near circular ones u see on the more common form. Needless to say, i am thrilled. i will grow it emersed.
And let me tell u how i was able to confirm this.
Here is the plant in all its splendour, in a website that identifies it so, beyond doubt.
http://www.aquarium-villeurbannais.com/UserFiles/File/plantes%20g/bacopa_monnieri_g.jpg
I got it from Wojtek Juanico, many thanks to you and to him...
cheers! |
