Are  the  vertical  supports  for  the  front  glass  going  to  be  removed  or  will  they  be  in  place  permanently?

What  a  tank  !!  Nauzer  what  is  the  glass  thickness  ?

 Well  doc.
I  was  fascinated  by  the  tank  myself  so  I  worked  on  the  tank  and  you  will  not  believe  it  took  us  full  12  hours  to  empty  it  with  a  2"  diameter  flexible  pipe  Crying or Very sad
I  worked  non-stop  for  48  hours  to  compose  and  fix  the  backdrop  that  was  made  in  a  set  of  7  pieces!  The  glass  thickness  and  the  rest  is  mathew's  baby  -  I  was  only  assigned  the  aquascaping.

Wow  Nauzer,  where  is  this  tank?

Elaine,  you  have  to  see  it  to  believe  it!
it  is  in  a  mega  mall  in  mumbai  -  'In-orbit'

Madan,  actually  the  tank  is  Mathew's  baby  so  he  will  be  more  helpful  in  the  matter  -  yes  the  supports  are  permanently  fixed  and  cannot  be  removed  -  actually  it  is  almost  impossible  to  get  a  'one-piece'  glass  of  the  said  dimensions  so  we  had  to  have  the  supports!  (I'm  not  entitled  to  say  anything  more  on  this    Smile  )

I  have  seen  the  tank  last  year  only.  It's  there  in  the  3rd  floor  in  'In  orbit'  mall.
It  has  everything  in  it  ...  lot  of  fishes.  Some  big  oscars  I  could  remember.
I  did  not  know  it  was  done  by  our  Aquascape    Cheer

Looks  like  a  very  huge  tank,Cleaning  would  be  a  serious  problem,Try  reducing  the  height.

Shishir,  Reducing  the  water  column  while  cleaning  can  be  one  a  solution.

Bansal,  you  would  need  1.5"  thick  acrylic  laminated  sheets  for  this  job.  Availability  -  only  by  special  order  from  one  of  two  US  companies,  so-  Definitely  not  practical  and  very,  very  expensive  unless  you  are  a  corporate  funded  aquarium.
Therefore  Acrylic  for  this  tank  Thumb Down
 Regards
 Gopi

Are  all  these  fish  together  or  are  they  separated  by  divders?  If  they  are  together  are'nt  there  a  lot  of  casualities?  It  must  look  really  awesome,  I'll  try  and  see  it  if  I  ever  get  to  Mumbai  (very  unlikely  in  the  near  future)

The  issue  is  not  the  tank  at  In-orbit.  The  qusestion  posed  by  Mr.  Bansal,  as  I  understand  it  is  whether  such  a  tank  can  be  fabricated?.  I  have  a  slight  inkling  that  Mr.  Bansal  is  quite  capable  of  executing  such  a  job.  He  is  just  taking  feedback  from  us.  I  think  it  is  quite  possible  to  fabricate  the  tank  of  the  dimentions  specified  by  Mr.  Bansal.
