Hi,
80% water change with RO water is not a good thing. RO water is very low on alkalinity (KH). If the KH buffer of water is low (typically below 4-5 dKH) PH of the water can swing if CO2 builds up. If possible measure water parameters like GH, KH and PH and compare them with your source of water used prior RO. If they differ by a big margin your fish is probably stressed.

I think 50% water change with cauvery water is the safest to do, assuming your source of water for the tank prior RO was cauvery. Do take care to remove chlorine. Aging the water and agitating, helps chlorine removal, but you might have to use some chlorine removal product to get immediate results. Regarding treatment with medicines, I am inexperienced to comment on that.

I have borewell water so never used a chlorine remover agent. But there are certain reputed brands like Seachem which have Seachem Prime to remove chlorine and chloramines from water. One of the place where you can it from is http://aquabynature-shop.com/. PH testing kit, I got from Vasa chemicals in Avenue road. But if you follow your water change regime without any deviation from standard practice you can avoid spending money oh PH testing kit. WIth fish only aquarium and normal bioload 30% water change every week is good enough.
