|

Hi Guys,
I'm happy to share one of my betta pair spwaned in a quite different way . I have kept male and female betta in a one feet small tank seperated by a glass divider. I'm not at room for the last three days. Today when I enter my room on checking the tank I found the fries hanging in the male's bubblenest surprisingly with still male and female seperated in the tank.
Still don't clearly understand how this could be actually happen
So my assumptions are:
1. Since both are in same tank when female releases egg which would got fertiled by the male staying next to the divider (I have seen females lay eggs when kept in jar inside a tank with males persence without any physical contact)
2. Now the real question how are the eggs got moved from female section to male section however there is a small gap at the bottom of the divider.

Whatever it may be now I got some fries to take care of :)
Your comments are well on this :D
Thanks |

That's a miracle.
Or maybe the female jumped to the other side and done the stuff and jumped back after the spawn when the male started attacking her.
But Congrats and raise them good |

Thanks guys for your wishes :)
@Biswanath - I'm not an expert like you I know these betta's are not qaulity ones. I just tried breeding with what I got and trying to get something good out of it. |

@biswanath : if you could suggest some changes to this setup to keep the betas more happier it would be of great help.
Though there are lot of materials in net it is always better to hear from you.....This would be really helpful as most of betta keepers have a similar set up (atleast i also have a similar one )....Please suggest |

or Eloped and then changed it's mind. Lucky for the female since in Anabantids it's the male which takes care of the fry's.
Anyways, Congrats Prabhu. BTW, is it you who PM'ed me for Daphnia culture?

| Must be a new species betta elopii. Breeding is simply done by seperating the pair. Splash tetras should be ashamed now! |
