 Thanks  GatorX.  Is  there  any  need  to  include  higher  kelvin  LEDs  ?  10000k  one  ?
 
 Also  ,  I  have  a  2x24W  T5HO  unit  of  Hagen...and  I  want  to  continue  using  that.  In  that  case  ,  would  20  LEDs  suffice  ?  My  current  setup  is  2x24W  T5s  +  4x25W  T8s  =  total  of  148W.  I  get  good  plant  growth  at  the  moment...so  I  assume  the  watts  per  gallon  is  working.

 Yup  you  can  just  use  the  LEDS  for  the  foreground  plants  then  and  the  shimmer  effect  will  also  be  visible

 The  led  used  in  flood  lights  are  all  epistar  leds.........   thats  a  good  brand  too....  check  it  out.
