Thanks,  ill  go  for  black  glass  and  silicone.  they  look  stunning.  You  should  try  LED  flood  lights  on  your  tank.  the  are  really  intense  and  around  8000k  and  from  10  -  50watts.  you  get  them  at  any  light  shop.  i  have  grown  glosso  and  many  more.  you  dont  need  to  replace  them  for  long  like  t5  and  MH.

I  was  thinking  to  go  for  them  but  the  price  was  a  little  concern.

Thanks  Mayur.  Regarding  the  co2  loss  I  have  compensated  it  with  more  bubble  per  second  currently  4bps  is  showing  green  in  my  drop  checker  which  is  supposed  to  be  moderate  co2  in  the  tank.  For  the  picture  of  my  light  fixture  I  only  have  this  for  now  which  shows  the  inside  wiring.

Hey  led  flood  lights  are  cheaper,  the  10w  are  for  five  hundred  bucks.  they  will  last  for  three  to  four  yrs  if  on  for  7-8hrs  daily.  t5hos  you  will  have  to  change  every  6-8  months  because  they  will  eventually  loose  their  intensity.  for  your  tank  i  would  go  for  mix  of  20w  and  10w....  in  longer  run  they  are  the  cheapest  if  you  calculate.  iv  used  t5ho,  pll  and  led  flood.  t5ho  and  pll  i  had  to  change  every  6  months.  MH  also  i  had  used  but  dint  like  them  because  of  heat  and  i  already  had  a  chiller  for  my  reef  and  for  planted  would  have  been  a  waste.  but  even  if  you  go  for  mh,  they  also  need  a  replacement  every  year.

 Hi  nanomania,

Where  can  I  get  LED  flood  lights  in  Mumbai?

I  checked  at  Lohar  Chawl.  These  LED  flood  lights  are  made  in  China.

Does  it  work  well  for  planted  tanks?

 Pls  suggest.

 Regards,
 Senthil

Amazing  setup.  Could  you  also  upload  a  video  to  show  how  it  all  works.  including  your  micro  and  macro  automated  dousing  (they  are  just  amazing)

Ramdas  as  requested  posting  the  video  of  the  doser.

Aren't  the  lights  shorter  for  a  5  ft  tank  ?!  Puts  more  light  in  the  centre  than  at  the  corners.
