Haha,  Marc.  I  will  widen  the  chimney.....or  better  still.  Try  the  front  door,  It's  got  a  wider  girth.  But  seriously,  what  do  you  think  of  the  specimens  from  Kumaradhara  and  Aghanashini?

Adnan,  Only  specific  specimens  from  a  certain  type  locality  develop  these  colors.  The  one's  you  have  with   you  are  from  the  Tunga  river  and  will  be  predominantly  green  iridescence.  Feed  is  Scampi  feed,  NLS  and  Blood  worms.

As  of  now,  I  think  this  is  a  unique  variant  restricted  to  a  small  area  of  Canara.  The  other  green  variant  that  you  mention  is  quite  wide  spread  in  Kerala,  Karnataka  and  Tamil  Nadu.

Detailed  study  is  pending,  I  am  waiting  for  a  few  of  these  in  different  life  stages  (sizes),  to  check  out  a  few  other  characters  other  than  just  colour  to  see  if  it  is  a  mere  variant  or  something  more.
